Purdue University Northwest likes to share this idea of “powering onward,” but for many on campus, it feels more like stalling out. Instead of building a reputation, PNW keeps running into the same problems that frustrate students and faculty.
Underfunded & Overstretched?
Purdue North Central operated in the black under Chancellor Dworkin. Chancellor Holford continues the newly merged university's tradition of shrinking resources due to declining enrollment.
Poor Reputation
PNW is often seen as “Purdue Light” rather than a serious school. Without strong leadership, the school risks being overshadowed by other colleges and universities in Indiana.
“Power Onward” feels like a tagline masking the truth: PNW is falling behind.
